Benjamin Cavazos Obituary
Ben was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years, Rita; his mother, Polina Sepulveda; and his four siblings, Joe M. Lazo, Virginia Cobb, Eva Thibedue, and Bettye Welsh.
He is survived by his eldest son, Benjamin Lee Cavazos; His son Joe Hector Cavazos and daughter-in-law Nelda; His daughter Teresa Bourbois and son-in-law Abel Bourbois III; Daughter Martha Claudia Cavazos Fipps and son-in-law Troy Fipps; Youngest son Oscar Antonio Cavazos and daughter-in-law Toni
Ben was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

My sincere condolences to the Cavazos family. I met Ben in the late 70s at a Mission Chamber of Commerce event. His love for his community was demonstrated in so many ways by his lifelong civic involvement. The love for his city, his family, and his company extended beyond years, miles and borders. My sympathies to Oscar, Benny and Hector. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cavazos family in this time of loss. We grew up across the street from the Cavazos family and knew Ben as a friendly man who always wore a smile on his face. I remember watching him fine-tuning the go-cart he and Benny had built together and Benny taking it on test drives. Such a nice man. RIP, Ben Cavazos. Thank you for your service.

We met Ben and Rita Cavazos back in 2004 when we built our home on the northern part of Orange Ave. They readily came to introduce themselves and welcome us to their street. Thank you for being the neighborly friends we enjoyed knowing. Our deepest condolences to the Cavazos family.
