Beloved son and brother, Benjamin Ryan Diseroad, 44 years old, a resident of Chicago, Illinois entered eternal rest on Monday, May 19th, 2025, at his residence. Ryan's life began on Wednesday, September 3rd, 1980, in Beech Grove, Indiana, when he was born to Benjamin Alan and Teresa "Terri" (Myers) Diseroad. Ryan was raised in
Martinsville, Indiana and graduated as the valedictorian of Martinsville high school class of 1999. After receiving a scholarship, he continued his education at Northwestern University. He graduated early with his bachelor's degree in economics summa cum laude. He later joined the United States Navy, serving his country honorably. He served as a submariner in the Pacific fleet, earning the Dolphins medal, and later volunteered in the Afghanistan Conflict. After honorable discharge from the navy, he continued his career in corporate lending at GE Capital, Morgan Stanley and Chase banks. He served as the president of American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER) in Chicago. His generous and thoughtful personality was his gift to many friends and family. Ryan was an avid reader and enjoyed belonging to his book club. He was a talented writer that enjoyed writing poems and even wrote his own novel. He had a love for art and history, enjoyed collecting vinyl record albums, volunteering in the soup kitchens, food pantries and thrift stores in Chicago. You would see him enjoying numerous coffee shops and long walks to relax and unwind. His athletic ability earned him many awards and school records in swimming. He enjoyed playing in recreational soccer and tennis leagues as an adult. He also had a love for traveling. Most of all, he treasured family vacations and shared time with his family. He leaves behind his loving family including his parents, Benjamin A. and Terri (Myers) Diseroad of Indianapolis, Indiana and his sister, Brittney Diseroad of Memphis, Tennessee and several extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joann Diseroad and Patty Myers; grandparents, Bill and Sue Myers; great grandmother, Lucille Moreland; and great grandparents, Bob and Louise Mathews. To honor Ryan's life, family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors beginning at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, in New South Park Cemetery in
