Benjamin Andrew Duncan (40) departed this earthly life on Friday evening, November 1, 2024, to be with his eternal father and savior. Born in Knoxville on February 5, 1984, he was a lifelong resident of the Heiskell and Powell communities. Created with a kind spirit which was noticed by all he met, he made friends easily and appreciated the simple things in life. As a young child he was fascinated with nature and all his surroundings, especially frogs! Blessed with incredible artistic talent, Benjamin was selected as ‘Most Artistic’ in his senior class at Powell High School. After graduation he served our wonderful nation as a member of the U.S. Airforce National Guard 134 th Air Refueling Wing. During his basic training at Lackland AFB in Texas, he even found time to create the logo worn by his unit. His most important role in life was that of being a loving father to his three precious girls: Bailey, Iris and Lily. He loved the great outdoors and the time which he spent fishing and hiking with his children and friends provided his most treasured memories. Ben is survived by several loving family members and lifelong friends. Those left grieving are his mother Sandra Roberts Marshall and stepfather Barry Marshall; father Steve Duncan and stepmother DiAna; sisters Adrienne Kiely and Carlee Duncan; daughters Bailey Duncan, Iris Duncan and Lily Duncan; grandmother Shirley Roberts; girlfriend and partner Jason Leigh Phillips; nephew Tucker Kiely; niece Ellie Kiely; cousin Chase Duncan and special friend and associate Jamison Hembree. In addition, there are over fifty aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives who will miss his warm spirit, silly grin and kind demeanor. Arrangements are under the care of Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City TN. The family will have a Celebration Gathering for the life of Benjamin on Sunday November 17, 2024, at ‘The Barn’ venue in Powell. Visitation with friends and family will be 2:30 –5:00, with a remembrance tribute at 4:00 pm.
