Benjamin Eaton Obituary

Benjamin E. Eaton, Jr., 90, of Bedford, died Friday December 22, 2023 after a period of declining health with his family by his side.

Born April 26, 1933 in Manchester, he was the son of Benjamin E. & Amy Eaton. Ben grew up in Auburn and graduated from local schools, after which he was drafted into the United States Army. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers surveying land in several western states for the country's new interstate highway system. Ben received his degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University. He went on to have a career with Robie Construction Company in the family business.

In his free time, Ben enjoyed antique cars, long drives, spending time with his three grandsons, and with the love of his life, Marie.

Ben is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie A. (Wilkinson) Eaton; son Benjamin G. Eaton & his wife Paula Durand; daughter Cindy Stephenson & her husband Peter; grandsons Sam, Zach & Eli; and brother William Eaton. He was predeceased by his sister Theresa Hills.

Services for Benjamin will be private. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
