Benjamin "Ben" Inscore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 15, 1944, Ben's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and an unyielding love for his family.
Ben devoted over three decades of his life to industrious labor, first as a skillful mechanic and a great painter and bodywork expert on cars. He dedicated 20 years to the Koch Plant in Medford and spent an additional 10 years with ONEOK, retiring after 30 years of steadfast commitment. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy for nine years, where he worked on a battleship during the Vietnam War. His unwavering dedication and hard work were hallmarks of his character.
Those who knew Ben will always remember him as a down-to-earth man who was quiet yet friendly. He held his "Big Family" close to his heart, finding joy in every moment spent with them. He and his beloved wife, Eve, created countless cherished memories together with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Their passion for racing extended to their shared love for building fast cars, with a special mention of their cherished 1970 Mustang drag racing car. Over the years, they celebrated numerous victories on the racetrack, making lasting memories along the way.
Beyond the racetrack, Ben enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an ardent OU football fan. He found joy in watching Bill Elliott race in NASCAR, showcasing his lifelong passion for speed and performance. His hobbies were a reflection of his vibrant spirit, which embraced life’s simpler pleasures.
Ben leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Eve Inscore; his daughter, Lisa Jamison and her husband, Will of Oklahoma City; his son, Clancy Delaney and wife, Kirsty of Medford; and six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Each member of his family will carry forth his legacy of hard work, love, and passion for life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Inscore Jordan; stepfather, Newell Jordan; sister, Jean Cleveland; and son, Ricky Delaney. They will warmly welcome him back, surrounded by love and memories. As we gather to celebrate Ben's life, we remember a man who was a pillar of strength, warmth, and a proud steward of his family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
