Benjamin "Ben" Leyva, 79, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on May 11, 2025, in Sant'Antioco, Sardinia, Italy.
Ben was born on April 17, 1946, in Worland, Wyoming. A proud veteran, he served honorably in the U.S. Army and carried the values of strength, dignity, and service throughout his life.
Ben was a man of faith, rooted in the Christian teachings of Calvary Chapel. He was known for his steady presence and deeply kind heart. He brought humor, wisdom, and warmth to every room he entered - a true guiding light for his family and friends.
An avid woodworker and passionate traveler, Benjamin found joy in craftsmanship and exploration. He was classy yet approachable, witty yet thoughtful, and always grounded in love for his family. His life was marked by quiet strength and generosity, and he lived with an integrity that inspired all who knew him.
Ben's legacy of faith, family, and strength will continue to shine through those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
"Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going."
- John 14:1–4
