Ben was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. If you ever had the opportunity to meet Ben, you met a lifelong friend. He had a magnetic personality and was someone you just wanted to be around. He lived an adventurous life and enjoyed every moment of it. He was also a man of duty and service. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces K9 handler, serving multiple tours in Iraq. After leaving the military his commitment shifted to his community as an officer with the Gautier Police Department. He specialized in Interdiction work with his K9 Tess and was well respected among police forces across the nation for his work in the field. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed being outdoors. Whether it was hunting or fishing Ben wanted to be in nature. He especially enjoyed spending time out on his boat. Above all, he loved his children and cherished spending time with them. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noland McQuagge.
He is survived by his children: Lillian McQuagge, Gauge McQuagge, and Emilyn McQuagge; mother, Barbara McQuagge; brother, Marty McQuagge; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
