Benjamin Andrew Moore, age 96, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at The Waterford of Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Drew Weaver will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 2534. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the church.

Benjamin was born January 4, 1930 in Wisconsin Rapids to Glenn and Eola (Winger) Moore. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1947 and served aboard submarines and rescue vessels for 10 years. In 1957 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in South Asia and the Pacific area for 12 years. He served during the Korean and Vietnam eras, and was in both localities during the wars.

He became an ordained minister with the International Assemblies of God Church and did missionary work in Taiwan and the Republic of China. While there he also started a Christian servicemen's center for our troops stationed in Taiwan.

On March 17, 1982 he married Shirley (Rezin) in Kauai, Hawaii. They enjoyed traveling and lived in Florida until 1996 when they returned to Wisconsin Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; daughter, Suzanne (Steven) Stoeger-Moore and daughter-in-law, Karen Moore, Orange Park, FL; sister Eola (William) Timm of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Joshua, Jennifer, Jerimiah and Jonathan; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Benjamin Jr.; brothers Glenn Moore and Roger Moore; and sister Mary (William) Apfelbeck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Christian Radio Station WRAO 91.7FM, P.O. BOX 95, Wisconsin Rapids, WI or to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
