OSTRANDER, Benjamin W. – of Chesaning, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Hospice House in Owosso. He was 85 years of age.

Ben was born January 28, 1940, in Saginaw to the late Roy and Dorothy (Newman) Ostrander and was a resident of Chesaning most of his life. He was a 1958 graduate of Chesaning Union High School. Ben enlisted in the Army and served from 1964 to 1966. He was united in marriage to Wilma Parcher on November 11, 1972. Mr. Ostrander retired from Saginaw Malleable Iron and was a member of the UAW. He was also a member of Chesaning Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed wood working, watching Westerns, fishing, hunting and tinkering in the garage.

Surviving are: wife, Wilma; son Daniel (Anna) Ostrander of Saginaw; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Nancy Gorman of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: brothers: Jim Ostrander, Don Ostrander and Walter Ostrander; sister, Betty Reiber; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila Ostrander in 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday, August 1, 2025, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Pastor Walt Youmans officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7pm and Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Bible Baptist Church in Chesaning. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
