September 12, 1958 - October 9, 2023
Benjamin "Mike" Scholting, 65, of Louisville, NE, preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Betty Scholting. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Kim Scholting; children, Andi (Jason) Emmons, Brett (Jamie) Scholting, Kelsie (Aaron) Stewart, Megan (fiancé Lane Haller), and Mirissa Scholting; grandchildren; great-granddaughter; brothers, Merlin (Sheila) Scholting, Mark (Kim) Scholting, Jeff (Barb) Scholting; mother-in-law, Blanche Hopp; brother-in-law, David Hopp; numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES will be Saturday, October 14, 2023, 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Louisville, NE. VISITATION will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Cass County 4H.

I worked for Mike a few years ago I learned more about working and life from this guy than any one in my life ,he by far is one of the most hard working,caring (after he figures you out) dedicated people I will probably ever know in my life ! I wish I would have said thank you but you never think there won't be time but I do thank you sir for the patience to teach me and knowledge about everything I will use much of it in my life you will never be forgotten you and you family made a huge impact on me and thank you my friend until we meet again . Kim, I got to know Mike while working at Pankonin´s after college. Mike, his father Ben and all of his brothers were always a pleasure to be around. I am very sorry for your loss.

Our sincere condolences to the Scholting family. We were saddened to hear this. We farm east of Council Bluffs Iowa. My dad died during harvest in an accident at the corner of our farm 20 years ago October 5th. Again condolences to the family.
