Benjamin Scott Schreiber, 40, of Little Rock died Friday, August 8. Born November 19, 1984, Ben was a life-long resident of Little Rock.
Ben had a great imagination. As a little boy, Ben believed he was Superman and insisted on wearing a red "cape" (actually a table napkin) and being carried in the classic prone position through stores, restaurants, and on neighborhood walks. He and his brother J.J. were closest of friends throughout their lives, with the exception of when J.J. stole his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures.
He was a gifted martial artist, earning his Black Belt in Taek-Won-Do and Wing Chun Kung Fu. Ben was also a talented musician, with the ability to pick up an instrument, "mess around," and figure out how to play it.
Ben worked in a variety of local restaurants, most recently at Allsopp & Chapple Restaurant, where he was given the opportunity to truly learn and grow as a chef, and as a person. He often called his father, Richard, enthusiastically describing their latest creative dish.
He is survived by his parents Kimberly Piazza Scott and Ron Scott of Fort Collin, CO, and Richard Schreiber and Cindy Fribourgh of Hot Springs; as well as his former wife Stephanie Schreiber, and "stepmom" Judy Williams. Ben was preceded in death by his brother J.J.
A private interment will be held at Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
