Benjamin Elwood Senkbeil, Jr., 63, of Wheeling passed away on Friday September 12, 2025.
He was born in Wheeling on October 31, 1961 son of the late Benjamin and Myrtle Jean (Pyles) Senkbeil, Sr.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Chad Alan Senkbeil and brother Ed Senkbeil.
Ben was a proud Veteran of the US Army and served in Dessert Shield/Storm. He was known for being outspoken and stubborn and never hesitated to tell it like it was. Beneath that tough exterior, he carried a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed his Sunday's at the ball field.
Ben is survived by his wife, Annie; Children, Stephanie (Robert) Leasure, Benjamin E. Senkbeil III "Woody", Memrie (Dustin) Schrump, Morgan (Josh) Blake, Crandall Senkbeil; grandchildren, Indya (Brannan), Isaiah, Benjamin IV "Woody", Leilene, Elizabeth, Alex, Braxton, Dawson, Hazel; great grandchildren Sawyer, Phoenix; brothers, Brian Senkbeil, Jim Senkbeil; sister Amy Toler, and many friends and his dog "Brutus".
Friends and family will be received on Sunday September 21, 2025 from 2 pm until time of service at 4 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) where the Moundsville Veteran's Honor Guard will have Military Honors.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Stone Church Cemetery.
