Benjamin David Speelhoffer

Benjamin David Speelhoffer of East Norriton passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 31, 2025. He was 84. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolores (nee Tarczenski); children, Michael Speelhoffer (Kathleen), Jill Migliarese (Michael), Lori Going (Todd); grandchildren, Ben, Nick, Ronnie, Adam, and Hank; and brother, John (Karen).
Dave proudly served in the Navy from 1961 - 1963 and went on to work at PECO until retirement. Dave was an active and well-loved member of the community, acting as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Titus and playing softball for the Minutemen in the Montgomery County Senior Softball League. Perhaps he was best known for his time as a P.I.A.A. football official where he began his career on the field in 1976 and ended as a part of the chain crew and observer a few years ago.
Dave was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers and enjoyed making the trip to Clearwater for the Phils Spring Training each year, where he was the life of the party. He loved his friends and family fiercely and was always the first to lend a hand. He worked, played, and fought hard to the very end and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to Dave's Life Celebration on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. A second visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at St. Titus Church, 3006 Keenwood Rd, East Norriton Twp, PA, 19403. David's funeral mass will begin at 11:00 AM.
