Benjamin L. VanCleve, age 64, a longtime resident of Marcus Hook, PA, passed away at his home on January 9, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.
Ben was raised in Chester Heights, PA, and graduated from Garnet Valley High School. Following high school Ben went on to work for Levitz Furniture and City Steel. Following the closure of City Steel Ben worked for a brief but enjoyable time as a bartender for Clank's Bar in Marcus Hook. He most recently worked for Alan McIlvain Company and was in the Laborer's Local Union #57. Ben was an avid sports fan and was most passionate about his favorite football teams, Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittburgh Steelers. Ben was a longtime member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors: His wife of 45 Years, Wendy VanCleve (nee McKee); Children, Corrinne Taylor (Tim), Janay Beck (Sean), and Benjamin VanCleve (Kelly); Grandchildren, Shawn Smith (Bailey Walton), Annabelle VanCleve, Peyton and Riley VanCleve, Robert Newlin, Jr., Landon Beck and Scarlett Beck.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ben's memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or Cokesbury United Methodist Church, at 307 Market St., Marcus Hook, PA 19061.
Funeral Services and Burial will be private.
