It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benjamin “Ben” Conn Wallace, age 30, who left us unexpectedly on October 11, 2024. Ben was a devoted father, cherished son, and beloved brother, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
As a mechanic and son of a mechanic, Ben had a passion for cars and spent countless hours working on and racing them (or more accurately throwing circles or laying drag in places he shouldn’t have). He also loved watching Braves baseball, Taylor Swift, traveling, and making the most out of life. Above all, his greatest pride and joy was in being a loving father to his daughter and making as many memories with her as possible.
Ben is survived by his daughter, Harper; his parents, Billy & Terri Wallace; his sister, Chelsea (Tyler) Althafer; and grandparents, Jeanette (Phillip) Allen and Billy Conn Wallace Sr. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews, all of whom were fortunate to share in his life.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Jerry Love and Faye Wallace, who he always held dear in his heart.
Ben's adventurous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be extraordinarily missed. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, October 18, at 3:00 p.m.at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel to honor his memory and the joy he brought to so many. Interment will take place afterwards at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
