Seminole resident, Bennie Williams Sr., 85, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Seminole.
Bennie, the son of Daniel and Betty (Harjo) Williams, was born December 30, 1939, in Maud. After graduating from high school, Bennie joined the US Army, serving as a paratrooper. On December 18, 1981, he married Joyce Ann Wise, in Sasakwa, Bennie and Joyce would be married until her passing on May 4, 2017. Bennie enjoyed worked on cars, coaching little league baseball, and rooting on his beloved Chicago Bears. While it was Bennie’s profession, he always loved his time doing jobs on the bulldozer, years after retiring, Bennie still frequently told stories of his days on the bulldozer. Growing up south of Maud, Bennie was a member of the Achena Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; his parents; sons, Benjamin Williams, and Bennie Williams Jr.; a sister Dorothy “Dot” Williams, infant twin Sisters; brothers, Robert Williams, and Johnny Williams; and an infant daughter, Betty Williams.
Bennie is survived by his sons, Sandy Williams, and Marco Williams; daughters, Timi Lynn Williams and Vonda Tanyan; grandchildren, Haley Manos, Matthew Williams, Andre Williams, Christian Tanyan, Anna Williams, Jesse Williams, Jordan Williams, Chase Tanyan, Desiree Williams, & Eli Williams, and Nathaniel Fast Wolf; and many other family members and friends.
Casket bearers will be Jesse Williams, Jordan Williams, Matthew Williams, John Shaw, Chuddo Williams, Brian Williams. Honorary casket bearers are, Lindsey, Herschel, and Nathaniel Fast Wolf.
A wake service is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Services are Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
