Mr. Benny Carl Fennell, Sr., age 71 of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Mr. Fennell was born on November 15, 1953, in Talladega, Alabama to the late Warren "Shorty" Harding Fennell and the late Irene Berry Fennell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Garry Fennell and Ronney Fennell.
Benny was a loving father, paw paw, brother and friend. He was an avid hunter and archery competitor. He loved his church Christ Center Tabernacle where he was an active member. Most of all, he loved his kids and grandkids. His memory will ever be cherished, and he will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
Those left to cherish Benny's memory are his children and their spouses, Brandy Nordan (Jason), Cody Fennell, Jennifer Borders (Brian), Benney Fennell, Jr., Jerry Fennell, Christopher Fennell; grandchildren, Brayson, Alexis, Kenleigh, Raegan, Sarah, Claire; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry Burgess (Donald).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Christ Center Tabernacle 8049 Fair Oaks Court, Jonesboro, GA 30236 with Pastors Tim Houska and Sheryl Houska officiating. Friends may visit with the family following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Salem Baptist Outdoor Ministry 57 Bicycle Road, Griffin, GA 30223. If you wish to make a donation, please call the church directly at 770-227-9300.
