Bentley Michael Marks, our precious sunshine, was born on August 29, 2022. His time on earth was short, but his impact was huge. The Lord cradled him in His arms on March 9, 2025. We don't understand why, but we have faith that the Lord has magnificent plans for our beautiful boy. Bentley truly was a ray of sunshine, OUR sunshine. Whether he was reading books or counting and purposely leaving out "1" so that someone else would need to play along, or watching baby birds, or simply enjoying the stars in the sky, he truly blessed our lines. To say we are heartbroken is a horrible understatement. "Bentwee" was smart, so funny and full of life, such a beautiful child that appreciated nature and animals, tractors and motorcycles, chicken nuggets and Bluey. When he loved someone, he loved BIG! There isn't a single one of his family that wouldn't have traded places with Bentley, because he was definitely the ray of light the world needed.
He is greeted in Heaven by his grandfather, Dennis Staskiewicz; great grandma, Carol Miller, great grandpa, Lyle Carpenter; and many more grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Bentley has left many family members here on earth to cherish the memories made, Mommy and Daddy – Amanda and Brad Marks; Big Brother, Julian; Papa and Nana – Tim and Denice Pekel; proud uncle, Tony; sister, Olivia Jane Marks; grandma, Terry Lynn Marks; great grandma, Linda Marks, all of Ohio; great grandpa, Pat Miller; great grandma, Bonnie Carpenter, all of Michigan; great grandpas, Augie Nordhausen and Bobbi Mashburn of Minnesota; great grandma, Kathy Nordhausen of Iowa; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025 and 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Pastor Daniel Kitts officiating. Family and friends will proceed to the family farm, 661 Leadmine Bend Road, Sharps Chapel, Tennessee 37866, where Bentley will be laid to rest. Trinity Funeral Home, Maynardville, has the honor of serving the family of Bentley Marks. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net

Great Auntie Jenna

May 7, 2025

Baby great-neph-

Unfortunately, I never had the honor of meeting you in person, but I know from stories and pictures that you were such a shining little star. It's unjust that you had to be called home so soon, but I know you're the best guardian angel for your family up there. My deepest condolences to your family. Give them the strength to bear this pain. Your picture will forever remain on my fridge and your thoughts in my heart. I miss you everyday and think about you so much.
