Bernadette "Betty" DeSantis (nee Mascoli) a lifelong resident of Tuckahoe, N.Y. passed away in her home on August 3rd at the age of 99. Bernadette was the beloved wife of Philip DeSantis, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together they built a life centered around love and family. Professionally, Bernadette worked as a cashier at Epstein's Dry Goods in Tuckahoe for over 40 years. Bernadette enjoyed celebrating her Italian heritage, especially food traditions and the importance of family. She was a religious person who was a member of the Assumption Church Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and doing WordSearch.
Bernadette "Betty" DeSantis is survived by her children: Phyllis (Dennis) Gaudenzi, Paul DeSantis, Marianne DeSantis, Betty Anne (Dennis) Catalano, and Philip (Christine) DeSantis. She is also survived by her greatest treasures, her 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren; as well as her brother Dr. Eugene (Lucille) Mascoli.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her Husband Philip DeSantis, Son Robert DeSantis, Daughter-In-Law Suzanne DeSantis, Great- Granddaughter Ashley Cistaro and brothers Salvatore and Vincent J. Mascoli.
Her memory will forever live on in our hearts and, she will be remembered for her love of family and friends.

The DeSantis family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at 10:30 am at Assumption of our Lady Church of Tuckahoe, N.Y. Burial to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester, N.Y.
