Bernadine "Dean" Foux
Bernadine "Dean" Foux, 93, of Sulphur, LA passed away on February 27, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Dean was born on December 31, 1928, to Albert and Martha Elkins. She was known as being the most loving and caring mother and grandmother and to all she knew. She served as a nurse for 60 years and 50 of them were served at Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Dean was known for many things including tending to her impeccable yard, cooking, and visiting friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where she attended faithfully and also a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas.
She is survived by her 3 children, Christine Chaumont and husband Earl, Byron "Pie" Foux and wife Wanda, and Anthony "Tony" Foux; 13 grandchildren, John, Christopher, Michael, Jason, David, Brian, Jaron, Matthew, Nathan, Stephen, Sarah, Alex, Lindsey; numerous great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Ruby Richard and Mildred Richard.
She is preceded by her parents; husband, Lawrence "Jack" Foux; son, Charles Foux; and 10 siblings.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Heart of Hospice, Stat Care Staff, and all of the wonderful sitters that helped her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 1:15 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Fr. Edward Richard will officiate services. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery.
