Bernadine W. Gunner was born on December 12, 1957 to the late Julia Mae Brown and John Waters Sr. in Boynton Beach, Florida.where she gained her sunshine that radiated amongst us all.
Bernadine, some called her "Dean" or "Dee" as the grandkids called her "Ol'ma", (German for grandmother) because she didn't want to be labeled as a grandmom so early. She felt she was still in her youth "prime time!" Bernadine was a feisty little lady that didn't have a problem with telling you like it was. Her favorite line was, "Don't get me started" and that's exactly what we knew not to do.
Bernadine was educated in the Camden City School system. She was employed at EMC Technology in Blackwood, NJ. She loved to put puzzles together, glue them on cardboard, and turn them into pictures to hang around the house. She also loved to play solitaire and enjoyed relaxing by the water. In her leisure time, she enjoyed listening to music preferably the oldies. Butterball on Sunday nights (WDAS) was her favorite accompanied by a little two step.
Bernadine was known for her warmth and kindness towards others.
Bernadine will be missed tremendously, especially her smile as it could brighten an entire room!
Bernadine Gunner leaves to mourn her husband Jeffery Gunner. Her siblings LaVerne R. Brown (Deceased) and John Waters Jr. Her 3 loving children Julia Young, Anthony Smith Jr. (Joy) and Sheree Smith. 10 beautiful grand children Saheem, Rhashen, Kedrian, Marlaisha, Shelby, Ta'Hee, Mark, Aniyah, Chasity, Maali and 8 great-grand kids. A host of nieces and nephews and an abundance of family and friends.
