Bernadine Walker Vidal, age 79, entered eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Monday, February 2, 2026. She was a native of Ama, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Bernadine was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a former Custodian with the Jefferson Parish School Board. “Bunny”, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Marrero.Beloved wife of the late John “Butch” Norman Vidal, Jr. Loving mother of Brian, Demone (Amon), and Darius Vidal. Daughter of the late Albert and Elnora Walker. Devoted Sister of Albert Walker, Jr., Ruth Smallwood, Audry Dixon, Myrtle Weber, and the late Wilbert Walker. Daughter-in-law of the late John Vidal, Sr. Sister-in-law of the late Emmalee, Gerald, and Loraine. Also cherishing her memories are 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.-9:45a.m. Only at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
