Bernard Buzak Obituary
MOUNTAIN TOP — Bernard R. Buzak, 74, of Mountain Top, died on Friday, July 30, 2021, at home with family by his side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Bernard and Mary Krevenko Buzak. He was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School and Penn State University, where he earned his associates degree in electrical engineering. Bernard was employed by PPL for 43 years, prior to retirement, and was a member of the Electrical Union and St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top. He enjoyed canoeing, fishing and the outdoors. He had a passion for football and was an avid NY Giants Fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Julie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Genevieve C. Cheresko Buzak; daughter, Amy Kakalecik and her husband, Clint, of Mountain Top; son, Karl J. Buzak and his wife, Amy, of Drums; five grandchildren, Jeremy Buzak, Cole Kakalecik, Taryn Kakalecik, Liam Kakalecik, Kayden Buzak; sister, Susan Jacobson, of Mountain Top; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, from the Desiderio-Lehman Funeral and Cremation, 436 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude's Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.
Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, and from 9 a.m. Wednesday morning until time of service.
