Bernard Howard Cartwright

Bernard Howard Cartwright, age 70, of, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on April 10, 2025.
Born on April 25, 1954, in Darmstadt, Germany, Bernard was the beloved son of the late Vernol and Irmgard Cartwright. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Bernard served his country with honor and carried that sense of duty and discipline with him throughout his life.
Bernard was the devoted father of Lateisha and Malika Cartwright, and the cherished grandfather of two. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Tawaka Cartwright.
A man of many passions, Bernard had a deep appreciation for photography, capturing the world through his lens. He also found great joy in tending to his garden. A true fan through and through, Bernard never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, wearing the black and gold with pride.
Bernard took great pride in fatherhood. To say he was a good father, is an understatement. His steady presence, strong will, big smile, and playful nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
