Bernard C. Memmelaar went to be with his Lord and Saviour on November 2, 2025 at the age of 95, days short of his 96th birthday. He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Marion (05/09/2023). He is survived by his children, Bernard Jr. (Pam), Edward (Anna), Donna Michaelson (Phil), Robin Stadtlander (Gary), and Todd (Dale); along with 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Bernard retired after 30 years of commercial truck sales in New Jersey. Several times he was named Salesman of the Year. More importantly, Bernard served his Master his whole life including being a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent, Cadet leader, Deacon and Elder at Prospect Park CRC, NJ. He also served as an Elder at Unity CRC, NJ. After moving to Michigan in 2015, he and Marion joined the Caledonia CRC, while residing at the Breton Ridge campus of the Holland Home. A Celebration of Life service for Bernard and Marion will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Caledonia CRC, 9957 Cherry Valley, SE, Caledonia. The family will welcome visitors on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 to 11 am at Caledonia CRC. Interment will be at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Fairlawn, NJ on June 27, 2026. Memorial donations can be made to the Holland Home, Grand Rapids, MI or to Eastern Christian School Association, North Haledon, NJ.
