Bernard Sevel Obituary
As a distinguished worker's compensation attorney, Bernard tirelessly advocated for countless clients with compassion and expertise. Bernard's legacy extends beyond his professional achievements; he bravely served his country in both World War II and the Korean War, earning honors including the Bronze Star. A proud graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he embodied a lifelong commitment to excellence and integrity. Bernard will be fondly remembered as a devoted patriarch to his loving family, who cherished him deeply.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Sunday, July 7th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Interment Oheb Shalom Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Veterans of Foreign Wars. Please check the Sol Levinson website for updated Shiva information.

I knew Bernie from the workers comp world, from 1983 to 2013. He was acknowledged as the dean of the Longshore and Harbor Workers practitioners during that time. When you had a case opposing Bernie, you could count on it being waged by the rules, but also, that Bernie probably knew the rules better than you did. A gentle person, a tribute to his profession, and, as I now know, an honored VFW. Open your illustrated dictionary to "mensch". There's Bernie.
