Bernardita Eusebio Obituary
Bernardita DyReyes Eusebio, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024 in Hinsdale, Illinois.
Bernardita is survived by her cherished son, Ricky, who was her pride and joy, her guiding light and most treasured accomplishment. She also leaves behind her devoted siblings, Carmen (Augusto) Nietes, Carmelita (Geronimo) Sta Ana, Felix DyReyes Jr, Roberto (Rosemary) DyReyes, Jose (Lydia) DyReyes, Luis (Ma. loreto) and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Elvira DyReyes, husband Ricarte Eusebio Jr and her siblings Teresita DyReyes and Eduardo (Edith) DyReyes.
Bernardita was born on February 7, 1953, in the Philippines to Doctors Felix and Elvira DyReyes. She was the youngest of 9 children. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the Philippines and received her Masters in Accounting from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Bernardita had a very successful career as a Certified Public Accountant and finished her career in 2013 as a Chief Financial Officer.
Bernardita moved to the United States in the 1970's where she met the love of her life, Ric and eventually married in June of 1981. They went on to have one son, Ricky who was their whole world. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Bernardita was a devout Catholic who was passionate about helping the poor and less fortunate. Bernardita's love for her family was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them, giving presents (mostly food) and the care she provided. Bernardita's son, Ricky, was her ultimate passion, and she devoted herself to being the best mother possible. She also enjoyed gardening, but unfortunately killed everything she planted, a love for fashion, shoes, trying new seafood restaurants and disco music.
Bernardita had a fierce spirit that never wavered even to her last breath. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her love for family, providing to the less fortunate and her ability to make you feel taken care of will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
As we say goodbye to Bernardita, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness, sacrifice and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to God, her family and the countless lives she touched. Bernardita's memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
