Bernice Lucile Sims Bartlett, 92, of LeRoy, WV passed away, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born in Peewee, WV on November 9, 1932 to the late Thelma Boggs and Aldie Sims.
Lucile attended Ripley Baptist Temple and enjoyed her church and her family. She was a 1950 graduate from Wirt County High School. She retired from MonPower after 40 years of service.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Russel Sims (Gladys); nieces, Becky Valentine and Vickie Piper (Jason); nephew, Alan Sims (Christina) all of LeRoy, WV; great-nieces, Shana Cochran (Garrett) of Vicenza, Italy, Lilly Sims of LeRoy, Miranda Valentine (Steve Salisbury) of Elizabeth; great-nephews, Nathan Trippett (Tessa) of Elizabeth, Luke Sims of LeRoy; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bartlett.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg with Pastors Rick Perrine and Grant Garber officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2025 from 3 -7 p.m. at the funeral home.
