During this time Bernice also found the love of her life Charles William Bernstein (Bill). Bernice and Bill were married on October 26, 1968 and enjoyed 49 years of marriage before Bill's demise.

My first memory of Bernice is when she & her husband Bill sat in the pew in front of me at Our Lady of the Fields for Sunday mass. Andrea was a baby & Carrie was a toddler dressed in a darling pink dress. Over the years it truly was a joy to watch the two girls grow up. Bernice always had a beautiful smile! It seems not that long ago that I gave her communion at the 8 am mass.
