Bernice Biehn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kaatz Funeral Directors Inc - Yale on Mar. 2, 2025.
Bernice Deanna Biehn, 88, of Greenwood Township, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the MediLodge of Yale.
She was born December 26, 1936, in Capac, the daughter of the late William and Wilda (Huston) Sawdon.
Bernice Sawdon married John Biehn in Marysville December 5, 1964. They spent 35 loving years together before John's passing on March 4, 1999.
Bernice's long life would be impossible to sum in a paragraph - however, the inherent qualities that were a current throughout her life; her openness - her love of baseball, her need to keep a fridge stocked in order to have something to offer to whomever would visit. She did as she pleased and lived exactly as she wanted, and loved being at home. Enjoying an L&M cigarette with her black coffee on her back porch while pointing out the bird calls. She loved a bowl of bean soup and would never turn down some goulash- and if you ever needed a home or someone to sit with; she'd welcome you with open arms. Bernice loved to garden and spend time with her family. She said she wasn't found of cats, but made sure every stray had a dish full of food and named them all.
Surviving are daughter, Deanna Vanlerberghe of Harsens Island; son and daughter-in-law, John C. Biehn and Fernanda Campos of Greenwood Township; grandchildren Tiffany (Brian) Bemiss, Todd (Olivia) Runge, and Tricia (Doug) Studacker, Diego, Lucas, and Rebecca; great-grandchildren Reid, Alex, and George; two brothers, Bruce (Joyce) and Brian Sawdon, and one sisters, Bonnie Williamson; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death three brothers, Bill, Bob, and Bernard Sawdon; and sisters, Beverly Phillips, Bettie McApline, Barbara Sprenger, and Brenda Ellis.
