Bernice J. Miller

Bernice J. Miller, 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her daughter's home in Ashtabula.
She was born on July 14, 1931 in Louisville, Mississippi, the daughter of Eaf and Sena (Hunt) Hoskin and had been an area resident since 1949.
Bernice was an active member of Jehovah Witness and enjoyed yardwork. Her hobbies included cooking and taking care of her grandchildren and neighborhood. She was known as "Bigsie" in the neighborhood.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Jeanette Miller, Bonnie Platt, and Debbie Miller, all of Ashtabula; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clovis Miller, whom she married on January 18, 1949; her son, Clovis Jr.; grandson, Trevor Miller; sisters, Minnie Taylor, Laura Hunt, Seneria Kirt, Joy Miller, Ludie Yarbough, Narsis Coleman, Katherine Riddle, and Mary Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Lee, Buster, and Fred; son-in-law, Mark Platt; and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Cemetery at a later date.
