On August 2nd, 1958, Bernice married the love of her life, Donald Murra, who she met on a roller-skating rink in Blue Earth. The couple lived in Buffalo Center, IA and several years later, moved back to Minnesota, where they operated a dairy farm by East Chain.
As a devoted mother of five, Bernice dedicated herself to raising her children while managing the day-to-day challenges of life on a farm. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love made her a cornerstone of her family, and she will be remembered for her patience, strength, and dedication.
A true artisan in the kitchen, Bernice was renowned for her exceptional cooking and baking. Her home was filled with the aroma of her delicious creations, and her passion for food brought family and friends together around the table, building many happy memories. Beyond her culinary talents, she had a flair for embroidery and sewing, crafting beautiful pieces that showcased her creativity and caring spirit. Bernice found joy in simple pleasures, often immersing herself in puzzle games or settling down to watch her favorite TV shows, particularly during football season when she passionately cheered for the Vikings. Her love for gardening reflected her nurturing nature, as she tended to her plants and enjoyed watching cardinals flutter about her yard, finding peace in their presence. Above all, Bernice treasured spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warm and generous spirit will live on in their hearts and in the countless moments shared together.
Bernice is survived by her children, Wanda (Dana) DeLeon of Waseca, Geri (Pat) Jones of Wells, Lisa (Michael) Marks of Blue Earth, Dennis Murra of Delavan, and Laura (Mike) Ringhofer, SC; three grandchildren, Brianna (Jeremy) Goodrich of Mapleton, Shelby DeLeon of Saint Paul, and Alyssa Roeding, NY; three great-grandchildren, Carson, Katie, and Milee; sisters, Dorothy (Otto) Pingle, Arlyss (Ordel) Skogen, and Mary Olson.
