Bernice J. "Bunny" Olechowski

Bernice "Bunny" J. Olechowski, 100, formerly of Utica, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Waterville Residential Care Center.
Born on August 26, 1924, in Utica, Bunny was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Kielbasa) Kopek.
On July 30, 1944, she married Stanley N. Olechowski in St. Stanislaus Church. They shared a blessed union of over 60 years prior to his passing on September 23, 2004.
Bunny was employed by Oneida County until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed sewing and knitting for her family and her skill was extraordinary. Bunny was a member of Holy Trinity Church and was an active volunteer there.
Bunny is survived by her children, Barbara Olechowski, Susan (Martin) Hohmann and Maryann Pentz; grandchildren, Brian Olechowski, Jenna Renfrew, Daniel Hohmann, and Emily Hohmann; great-grandchildren, Taylor Renfrew and Jake Renfrew, Brielle Olechowski, Gale Anne Olechowski, and Jameson Olechowski; and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Olechowski as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Olechowski, and siblings, Walter Kopek, John Kopek, Marie Kupiec, Jenny Gugnacki, Stanley Kopek and Vicky Kopek.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
