Donna Jean Cardillo, 83, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at her home.
She was born on July 30, 1942 in Utica, the daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Henry) Cardillo, Sr. Donna graduated from Rome Free Academy and then furthered her education at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor degree. She began her working career with the IRS and transitioned into Veterans Affairs, where she was the director of human resources, retiring after 30 years of services.
Donna was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church, Utica. She was also a huge animal lover and enjoyed walking her neighbor's dogs.
Surviving are her brother, Raymond (Patricia) Cardillo, Jr.; nieces and nephew, Kristen, Stefanie and Erik and great niece, Skylar. She was predeceased by aunts, Josephine and Eshter; uncles, Luke and Kenneth and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donna's family wishes to extend their gratitude to her friend, Patty, for her continued caring friendship.
In keeping with Donna's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro.
Remembrances in Donna's name may be made to your local ASPCA.

Donna and I shared a pew on Sunday mornings at Zion.
Donna and I shared a pew at Zion on Sunday mornings. We always enjoyed talking about the dog she walked and she would always ask about my dog Ruby.
