Stanley C. Marriott

Stanley C. Marriott, age 72, of Utica passed away on February 20, 2026, after a courageous battle. He was born on June 08, 1953, in West Winfield, NY. A son of Paul and Phylis (Elmer) Marriott. Stanley was educated at Mount Markham High School, after graduation he proudly served in the United States Navy for 8 years.

On November 27, 1996, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Gachowski at Twin Ponds in New York Mills.

Over the years Stanley worked for Homogenized Metals, CONMED, and Service Merchandise, where he met Lorraine. He enjoyed spending his summers golfing, in the winter Stanley bowled on a league at Vista Lanes. He also was an avid collector, coins, silver and gold, sports cards, and Pez dispensers. Stanley also enjoyed RC racing.

He is survived by his step children, Mary Gachowski, and Joseph (Doreen) Gachowski; grandchild Melissa (Justin) Rowland; his beloved great grandson, Joseph "Orzo" Rowland; brother, Mort (Karin) Marriott; two nephews; Christine (Paul) Schultz, Eve Bernier, and Dominick Bersani, who he helped to raise and considered his children; their mother and his longtime friend, Angelina Fergone; two special nephews, Rob (Gillian "Goof") Clark, and Tim Clark; as well as The Greenhouse Misfits, his monthly dinner group. All of whom will miss him dearly.

Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine; sister, Geraldine; a stepson John Bersani; as well as his parents.

The family would like to thank all the Tarlton Drive neighbors for their support, care, and compassion towards Stanley and his family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday February 27, 2026, at Mt. Olivet Chapel, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr.
