Bernice Westfall

Bernice (Bernie) Westfall At 93 she was lost to us too soon. Born in Emmett, Idaho, to William Fackler and Elizabeth Roberts Fackler, she was the youngest of seven children and always remembered her humble Idaho roots. In her early years she was a regular on live radio, singing with her cousins. She married young at 16 and went on to have four children, six grand kids and three great grandchildren. Her big family roots extended to her children and their friends, accepting every color under the rainbow, tattoos, mohawks, piercings, gay, straight, etc. Everyone felt her love. Everyone who knew her could count on her to always be there for them through thick and thin. She worked hard even in the face of adversity, and went on to get her GED and a college degree in her 40's as a single parent, which led her to have a wonderful career in aviation and finally meet the love of her life. She loved karaoke, pink champagne,and reading. She was a wonderful mother, a loyal friend, and devoted wife. The greatest gift was a hug. They were priceless. She was fiery, brave, sassy, and she would absolutely light up whenever she would see someone she loved. The loss of her beloved soul is devastating, and to say she'll be missed would be a gross understatement. Life will not be the same without her unconditional love and beautiful smile.
