Bernice Wilinski Obituary

Bernice "Bernie" Wilinski (née Stefanski) passed away peacefully, surrounded in love, by her family on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the age of 88. Her husband, William "Bill", preceded her in death in 2022. Sweetest mom to Debi (Terry) Bartz. Adored gramma to Lindsey (Aaron) Dausel, Lesley Bartz, Loni Bartz, Logan (Dan) Nierzwicki and Kale Schmidt. Much loved GG to Aubrey, Carter, Piper, Colton, Harper and Corbin. Loving sister-in-law to Pat (Jim) Dettmann. Also survived by daughter Susan and grandchildren Spencer, Mitchell and Justine Zajac as well as nieces, nephews and many friends, especially Rosalie and Carol. She has been reunited with Bill, son Russell and granddaughter Whitney, her parents and siblings, and her dear friend Barbara.
Bernice grew up on the south side of Milwaukee and went to Pulaski High School. She worked at Cudahy Brothers and M&I Bank. She met Bill at the Eagles Club and they married in 1955. They enjoyed dancing and traveling around the country and many countries around the world.
She was the life of the party and always willing to bring something yummy to eat when asked.
Bernie loved with her whole heart and always looked at life with her glass half full. While Alzheimer's disease took her memory, kisses and little kids seemed to bring her great joy.
A special thank you to the staff and residents of Hickory Park Assisted Living, the Auberge of Brookfield and Lily Hospice for your friendship and tender, loving care. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Memorials, if desired, to the Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
