Bert Henry passed peacefully on Monday, May 29th, 2023. Bert Henry Opheikens and Helen Almira Barrett gave birth to Bert Henry Opheikens, Jr. on July 12, 1944, in Boise, Idaho. Bert attended school in both Idaho and Utah. He graduated from Provo High School and later attended Utah Technical Collage becoming a commercial electrician. Bert served his country in the Utah Army National Guard for 27 years.
After 3 marriages, Bert met the love of his life Judy Marie Norton where they spent over 27 years together. They were married on October 6, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada. On June 8th, 2000, they were sealed for eternity in Bountiful, Utah
Bert is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lynne Opheikens Ridge, He is survived by two sisters: Karen (Scott) Potter and Cinda Kay (Robert-deceased) Lindstrom; by his wife, Judy Norton Opheikens, and her 4 children, Floyde Brian (Michelle) Harris, Jason Ray Harris, Edward Francis Devlin, III, and Catrina Marie (Ben) Marble. There are 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Funeral Services will be held at the Keller Crossing Chapel located at: 2024 S 1475 W, Syracuse, UT 84075 on June 9th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Military tribute to follow. Memorial will be available 1 hour before.
