Bert was born March 12, 1958 in Versailles, Missouri, a son of Paul Franklin Stafford and Opal Faye (Morrison) Stafford.
He graduated from Versailles High School and later earned a degree in Organizational Management from John Brown University. Bert spent nearly 37 years at Gates Corporation, where he retired as a Senior Engineer. His many hobbies included art, motorsports, and fly fishing, reflecting his diverse interests. Bert was widely recognized for his dedication and commitment.
He is survived by one daughter, Erin Forsbach (Eric) of Fayetteville, AR; three grandsons, Grayson, Cade, and Hayes; and three siblings, Ronald Stafford (Julie), Shirley Thebus and Stacy Stafford. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Stafford; his parents, Paul and Faye Stafford; and two brothers, Robert Stafford and Dwane Stafford.
A memorial service will be held at Wasson Chapel, 441 Highway 412 W., Siloam Springs, AR, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Breakthrough 1TD (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
