Ms. Berta A. Cavazos, a beloved matriarch and dedicated mother, born on December 1, 1957, peacefully departed this world on March 17, 2024 at the age of 66. At her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family, transcending to the eternal embrace of Heaven on the wedding anniversary of her parents.
Devoted to her family, Ms. Cavazos held a profound love for her daughter, Jessica, and her cherished grandson, Steven Michael, who held a special place in her heart and was her entire world. Her unwavering faith in Catholicism was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through trials and triumphs with grace and fortitude.
Despite enduring various health challenges, she exhibited remarkable resilience, showcasing her indomitable spirit until her final moments. Her strength and courage served as an inspiration to all who knew her, leaving an enduring legacy of love and perseverance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Berta Isaura Cavazos, Sr.; brothers, Antonio Cavazos, Jr., Hector V. Cavazos, Rodolfo Cavazos, Carlos Z. Cavazos, and Roberto Cavazos.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica Marie Cavazos; grandson, Steven Michael Rubio; sister, Juanita Imelda Cavazos; brothers, Julio Cavazos, Jesus (Francisca) Cavazos, and Jose Cavazos. She is also survived by numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be private and for family members only.
Her daughter would like to express sincere gratitude to all the doctors who took care of her during her final years including Dr. Chalit Wanthakawikran, Dr. Julio Zavala, Dr. Fernando Sanchez (Infectious Disease), Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa, Dr. Nelson Garay, Dr. Mohsen Ghadimi-Mahani, Dr. Gilberto Garza-Lozano, Laredo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Sowgandhi Nannepaga, the entire medical team at LMC ICU, and all the home health agencies who provided care. Lastly, sincere gratitude also goes out to United Ambulance for providing exceptional transportation.
