Bertha I. Moncada

Bertha Moncada, 88 of Little Falls, N.J. passed away peacefully during the morning hours of Sunday, February 9, 2025.
Born in Colombia to Rafael and Evangelina (née Moncada) Bello, Bertha was raised in her home country before coming to the United States 30 years ago. She lived in various parts of New Jersey before settling in Little Falls, where she resided for the past 17 years.
Bertha was an artist in every sense of the word, infusing creativity into all she did. Whether through her delicious cooking, skilled sewing, or beautiful paintings, she expressed herself with passion and love. Her family will forever remember her as a woman of strength, generosity, humility, and warmth. Her sweet nature and sense of humor brought laughter and joy to her family and friends.
While she held many jobs throughout her life, Bertha's most cherished role was that of a devoted homemaker, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to the care and well-being of her family.
Predeceased by her parents and brother, Jairo, she is survived by her loving children, Bethy Amanda Garcia and her husband, Guillermo Serna, Fabio Garcia, Martha Tabares and her husband, Hector and Maria Costanza Garcia "Connie" and her husband, Thompson Orozco; cherished grandchildren, Camilo, Manuella, Marianna, Caleb and Samuel; and dear siblings, Bernarda, Hector and his wife Lucy, Miriam, Mariela and Ligia and her husband, Jaime. Survivors include nieces, nephews and extended family members.
