Bertha Norman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tumey Mortuary on Feb. 2, 2026.
Bertha Mae Norman was born on August 20, 1935, in Talco, Texas, to Phil and Dessie Lee (Hines) Brannon. She peacefully passed away on January 28, 2026, in Pittsburg, Texas.

She was a member of Extraordinary Miracle Church of God in Christ and, in her earlier years, attended Talco Bethel COGIC. Her life was filled with simple joys-she loved cooking meals for her family, playing dominoes, and, most of all, spending precious time with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Dessie Brannon; her daughter, Jean Norman; her granddaughters, Shemelia Brown and Amber Brown; her great-granddaughter, Melany Parker; her brothers, Edward Hoskins and Arthur Lee Hines; and her sister, Dorothy Savage.

Bertha leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons, Henry Norman, Sr. (Peter), Eddie Norman, and Raymond Norman, all of Talco, Texas; her daughters, Brenda Norman, Vivian Norman, and Tina Smith, all of Talco, Texas, and Rosie Wade and son-in-law Tommy Wade of Sulphur Springs, Texas; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Allie Brannon of Mount Pleasant, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Bertha Mae Norman will be remembered for her loving spirit, and the deep devotion she had for her family-a life well lived and lovingly remembered.
