Frances Delores Justice

Frances Delores Justice was born on February 16, 1949, to Johnnie Lee McGill and Lena Faye Justice. On February 18, 2026, she peacefully transitioned at home, surrounded by the comfort of the life she had built.

Frances was a proud member of the Class of 1967 at Garey High School in Pomona, California. She worked at General Dynamics and Lanterman State Hospital in Pomona. Though she built meaningful years there, her heart eventually led her back home to Mount Pleasant in 1983.

She was a member of Greater Bibleway Baptist Church and later retired from Pilgrim's Pride. Frances had a servant's heart. She genuinely loved people and found joy in helping others in any way she could. Her kindness was quiet but consistent, and her presence was comforting.

More than anything, Frances treasured her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Whether through conversation, laughter, shared meals, or simple time together, she made each moment meaningful. Her love was steady, nurturing, and unconditional.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Capp and Vera Faye Justice; her stepmother, Erma Gene McGill; her sister, Elizabeth McGill; and her brother, Eddie McGill.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children: LaTonya Peters-Rucker; Clarence Hatton Jr. (Fabiola), all of Pomona, California; Jason Inostros of Mount Pleasant, Texas; and Clarence A. Hatton (Evangeline) of Pomona, California.

She also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Malik Rucker, Maia (Andrew) Rucker-Vasquez, Cierra Hatton, Jashari Inostros, Makaila Jackson, Caleb Hatton, and Jasani Inostros, each of whom carried a special place in her heart.

Frances is also lovingly remembered by her sisters and extended family: Vivian and Donald Whitehead of Rancho Cucamonga, California; Virginia Killibrew of Los Angeles, California; Stephanie Reynolds and Vera Chinn-McLewis, both of Bakersfield, California; Johnnie Ruth Powell of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Johnnie Ruth Ford and Helen McGill, both of Dallas, Texas; Teressie and Victor Dudley of Mount Pleasant, Texas; sister-in-law Ava McGill of Duncanville, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her gentle spirit.
