Doris Jean Williams

Doris Jean Williams was born on December 22, 1960, in Quitman, Texas, to the late Lonce Cleavon Williams and LaJoyce Henson Williams. She peacefully passed away on January 18, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

At an early age, Doris accepted Christ and united with Hanson Chapel CME Church in Winnsboro, Texas. Later in life, she also attended Unity Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Doris had a joyful spirit and loved listening to music and dancing. Above all, she cherished her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her life.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Chermieka Williams; her brothers, Lawrence Williams, Jimmy Williams, and Alfred Williams; her sisters, Gloria Williams, Shelia Williams, and Vanessa Williams; and her special friends, Arthur and Glenn Peoples.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons, Rodney Williams (Tyechia) of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Mario Williams (April) of Mesquite, Texas; and Morris Turner of Tyler, Texas; her daughter, Debra Williams of Mount Pleasant, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, her twin Morris Williams of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Freddie Williams of Tyler, Texas; Edward Williams and Terry Williams (Raven), both of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Terry Wells of Winnsboro, Texas; and Tony Roberson (Dee); her sisters, Marissa White of Houston, Texas, and Sheletia Martin of Winnsboro, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
