David Allon Farris

David Allon Farris, Sr., age 78, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2026.

David was born on April 22, 1947, in Paris, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who dedicated his life to his family. Above all else, David cherished his beloved wife, Janice Kay McNutt Farris, the love of his life. Married for 60 years and best friends for more than 63 years, their bond was a beautiful example of lifelong love, friendship, and devotion.

David's greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He was a steady source of strength, wisdom, and love to those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by the many lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Allon Farris, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Janice Kay McNutt Farris; his daughters, Shelley Denice Farris Ward and her husband Michael, and Shirley Renee' Farris Agan and her husband Ray; his daughter-in-law, Laura Copenhaver Farris, widow of his son David Allon Farris, Jr.; and his treasured grandchildren, Raeleigh Denee' Agan Hargrove and her husband Devon, Blake Alan Askew, Dalton Henry Askew, and Zachary Allon Farris.

David will be remembered most for his unwavering love for his family and the deep devotion he showed to his wife Janice, who remained his greatest companion and closest friend throughout their many years together. His legacy of love, commitment, and family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
