Arnaudville - Bertha Ann "MeMe" Rodgers, 75, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at her residence.
Bertha was born on October 1, 1949, in Lafayette. MeMe's heart was a treasure trove of joy, where the memories of countless shared moments will forever echo. Her greatest passion in life was unequivocally her family. She took immense pride in nurturing relationships with her children and grandchildren, finding delight in the little things: a homemade meal together, a spontaneous gathering, or simply hearing their laughter echoing through her home.
An exceptional cook, MeMe had a special gift for bringing people together around her table. With an intuitive flair for flavor and creativity, her dishes would warm both body and soul, creating lasting memories that would always be cherished. Her kitchen was a sanctuary, filled with the tantalizing aromas of her favorite recipes, and it was here that she shared stories and life lessons that her family will carry with them eternally.
In quieter moments, she found solace in the soft melodies of French music, allowing her heart to drift to places far and wide. This was her way of connecting with the world beyond her four walls, a sweet reminder of the beauty of life and culture.
Bertha Ann "MeMe" Rodgers leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness that will not soon be forgotten. Her laughter, her kindness, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her sons, Floyd Rodgers (Sandy), Craig Trahan (Kimberly) and Roy Rodgers (Carla); daughter, April Kleinpeter; brother, Curtis Patin (Faye); sister, Doris Anable (Larry); grandchildren, Chelsey Picard, Bella Kleinpeter, Conner Kleinpeter, Logan Trahan, Craig Trahan, Jr., Drake Trahan, Logan Reeves, Ethan Reeves, Lexi Rodgers, Maci Rodgers and Sarah Smoak; and her great-grandchildren, Carson Reeves and Nova Dupre.
