Bertha Taylor

Bertha Taylor, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday September 14, 2025. The Funeral Service, conducted by Steve Oldham and Eulogy by Mike Gammons, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage Funeral Home at Gallatin on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Taylor, Aaron, Rusty, Matt, Bryant and Erica. Bertha was born in Gallatin, TN on July 16, 1943. She worked at Shafer Middle School for 15 years. She is survived by her son Jeff (Reba) Taylor of Florida, daughters Penny Taylor (David) Marsh of Kentucky, Lori Taylor (Thomas) Johnson of Gallatin, Kristi Taylor (Phil) Bennett of Florida and Stacy Taylor (Jeffrey) Hartmann of Gallatin, brothers Wm "Joe" (Barbara) Rittenberry of Alabama and Thomas Allen "Tommy" Rittenberry of Lafayette, sisters Betty Gammons of Gallatin, Janet Woodard of Gallatin, Debbie Silcox of Gallatin , Pat (Larry) Moore of Gallatin and Sheryl Smith of Gallatin, grandchildren Autumn (Kevin) Shell, Kessa Taylor, Kenny Taylor, Taylor Gregory, Angel Pendarvis, Aaron Johnson, Matt (Kim) Fisher, Rusty (Kristin) Fisher, Bryant (Jade) Fisher, Erica (Allen) Walkup, Megan Hartmann, Rachel Marsh and Madison (Tyler) Pannell and 16 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Taylor, brother James "Bud" Rittenberry, sister Donna Skaggs and parents Thelma Bolton Rittenberry and Isom Rittenberry.
