Bertha Trejo Vasquez

Bertha T. Vasquez, age 78, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026. Bertha was a long time resident of Brownsville, Texas, but when Covid began she spent all of her time with her children in Austin and Bastrop, Texas. Her final resting place is in Bastrop, Texas .Bertha is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vicente Vasquez; her four children, Adriana Vasquez, Pablo Vasquez, Virginia Vara and her husband Victor Vara, and Armando Vasquez; and her two grandchildren, Miguel Vasquez Reyes and Alejandro Vasquez. Bertha was predeceased by her parents Juan and Ascencion Trejo and her oldest brother Francisco Trejo; and is survived by her brothers, Martin Trejo and his wife Francisca Trejo; and Dario Trejo and his wife Evelin Trejo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews .Bertha's greatest joy was her family, lovingly raising and caring for her children but she also ran her own business making custom fit gowns for weddings and quinceaneras. She was an active member of her church where she volunteered to provide childcare for infants and toddlers during Sunday morning services. She spent many years happily caring for and entertaining the youngest church members with her bright and playful nature.

Bertha will be remembered for her quick smile and caring personality which always helped her make friends easily everywhere she went.
