Bertha Cochran Wells, age 94, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Lillis Cochran; husband, Elbert Bill Wells; son David Wells; grandsons, Allen Wells and Jason Wells; great granddaughter, Lilyana Barnett; and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Judy (Lamar) Paige and Alan Wells of Dalton, Steve (Cindy) Wells and daughter-in-law Sherry Wells of Chatsworth and Tammy Wells of Dalton; grandchildren, Heath (Krista) Paige, Blake (Shelly) Wells, Kim (Nick) Warmack, Ryan (Alice) Wells all of Dalton, Melanie Bartlett of Chatsworth and Brittany (Tommy) Barnett of Rome; sister, Betty (Ronald Dee) Jones; sister-in-law, Frances Cochran of Dalton; special caregiver, Melissa Miller. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks to Homespun Hospice.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 1:00-3:00 on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Dalton Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Charles Hamm officiating. Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to independently owned and operated Dalton Funeral Home,620 S. Glenwood Ave. Dalton, GA 30721; 706-529-5371
