Charles N. Starks, aged 87, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center. A native of Whitfield County, Georgia, he graduated from Dalton High School and attended Florida State University.

Mr. Starks began his professional journey with Ryman Auto Dealership in Dalton and Kelly Cadillac in Chattanooga, Tennessee, subsequently advancing his career in the chemical industry both domestically and internationally.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; children, Tonya Smith Craig (husband, Robbie) and Randy Starks; stepson, Tim Young; grandchildren, Lexi Smith, 2nd Class Petty Officer Brody Smith, Phoenix Starks, and Anthony Starks; brothers, Lloyd Starks (wife Lynn) of Dalton, Georgia, Trammell Starks of Auburn, Alabama and Gerald Starks; as well as nephews and friends.

Mr. Starks was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ann Starks, daughter Charlene Starks, and son, Staff Sergeant Tony Starks.

Throughout his retirement, Mr. Starks enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. He was an active member of a longstanding group of friends known as "The Good Ole Boys", gathering weekly at Oakwood Café.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 3rd, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Dalton at 3:00 pm, officiated by Reverend Jonathan Barlow.

The family will receive visitors at the church from noon to 3:00 pm prior to the service.

Burial will be held in West Hill Cemetery.
